Digital Nomad Visa in Thailand: A New Opportunity for Remote Workers and Bloggers
Who is the DTV for?
What are the conditions and requirements?
While the requirements for DTV applicants may seem straightforward, it’s important to remember that rules may change. Therefore, it is recommended to gather all the necessary documents as soon as possible to avoid unexpected complications. Preparing the documents requires attention, but it’s a small effort compared to the opportunity to legally reside in Thailand, proudly calling yourself a remote worker or blogger.
How many entries and what are the renewal conditions?
There are no entry limits with the DTV visa. Each new entry activates a 180-day stay, with the countdown starting from the first day of entry. The stay can be extended for another 180 days within the country by submitting documents to the immigration office, with an extension fee of 1,900 baht. After 180 days, you must leave the country, but you can re-enter and extend the visa for another 180 days, up to a total of 5 years. The DTV visa is sufficient for entry, with no additional documents or payments required.
